| 86 | Annie (Nan) Campbell married Arthur Bond in England. The story in the family was that she went to England and met her future husband--Arthur Bond. He was not considered suitable & Archibald, her brother , was sent to prevent the wedding but he was too late. This can't be true as she did not marry until 1959, perhaps she lied! Also from the marriage cert, he had been previously married and that marriage was dissolved (I can't find any record of previous marriage or Divorce but may be the reason they had not married sooner.) Annie died in a house-fire. She was a bit of a hoarder of papers, books and magazines and it appears that this made the fire worse that caused her death. | CAMPBELL, Annie (I113)

| 89 | Archibald was a Fish Merchant, selling from a Horse-drawn cart and latterly from a Blue van. His half brother Alexander was a fish merchant when he joined the army at the beginning of the 1st World War. Alexander died shortly after being demobbed & I think that Archibald took on the fish trade because of this, as his sister Margaret said that he had been expected to sit the Glasgow University entrance exam but he refused to go.
